Maintenance checklist
- Visually inspect the basin, spout, and controls for damage or buildup on a regular schedule.
- Confirm adequate flow and pressure; a weak stream can indicate a clogged aerator or supply issue.
- Clean and sanitize per manufacturer guidance, particularly high-touch push buttons or sensors.
- Flush any fountain that sees low use (e.g., in a rarely used hallway or seasonal building) before assuming water sitting in the line is fresh.
- Log every inspection, cleaning, and repair with date and fountain ID.
After a seasonal shutdown or vacancy
